Ferrite magnets, also referred to as ceramic magnets, continue to have advantages due to their superior cost performance and high corrosion resistance. The dimensions of a ferrite disc magnet are the same as those of a neodymium disc magnet in terms of their diameter (D) and thickness (T). Ferrite disc magnets are available in a wide range of sizes and are used in a wide range of straightforward applications, such as fridge magnets, memento magnets, and white board magnets. In addition to the aforementioned non-military uses, ceramic disc magnets can be used in sensors, electricity meters, instruments, and medical equipment.
It is a sintered permanent magnet that is currently used in a variety of applications and has a very low cost. SrO and Fe2O3 are used as the primary raw materials in the ceramic sintering process to create ferrite magnets. The magnet does not require surface electroplating because it has good corrosion resistance. The products can be formed into square, tile, cylinder, and circular shapes.
